Reveal: The McLaren 600LT in Stealth Grey by MSO

The ‘McLaren 600LT in Stealth Grey by MSO’, produced by bespoke division McLaren Special Operations, is set to have its global reveal on the Concept Lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on August 26.

Finished in a Stealth Grey MSO Bespoke paint, this car features a wide selection of upgrades from both the MSO Defined catalog & MSO Bespoke customer choices, giving a preview of how much personalization can be incorporated into McLaren’s lightest, most powerful road-legal Sports Series car.

Introduced in July at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the McLaren 600LT epitomizes the McLaren philosophy of producing lightweight sportscars and supercars that deliver extreme performance and exceptional driver engagement. Featuring the unique LT top-exit exhaust, the car delivers 600PS and can sprint to 60mph in just 2.8 seconds on its way to a maximum speed of 204mph.

“MSO Bespoke was established to help customers realize their dreams and allows an almost limitless level of customization where imagination is the only restrictive factor.  With MSO Defined we offer a range of personalization beyond the standard factory options,” commented Ansar Ali, Managing Director of McLaren Special Operations.  “For this special 600LT we have combined a sprinkling of both to create a car that showcases the lightness and track-focused performance of this latest Longtail variant.”

The exterior of the car is distinguished by a Stealth Grey Bespoke paint finish with a Matt Black and McLaren Orange Exterior Pack to accent the car’s aerodynamic features. The iconic Visual Carbon Fiber Roof Scoop, inspired by the legendary McLaren F1 Longtail, is a key MSO Bespoke addition and operates as a fully functional air intake system that invigorates the driving experience with its active air induction sound. A track telemetry camera is also seamlessly integrated into the scoop cover to record inspirational moments.

Other MSO Defined options on the car include all three Carbon Fibre Upgrade packs available for the 600LT, which include door mirrors, exterior door inserts front splitter, rear bumper, diffuser, and rear deck and service cover.  An MSO Defined Carbon Fiber Roof and Cantrails, plus Carbon Fiber Front Fender Louvres – which help to further reduce weight – are also fitted. Ultra-Lightweight 10-spoke Forged Alloy Wheels with a Gloss Black finish complete the overall ‘Stealth’ look.

Inside, the occupants are reminded of the 600LT’s track-focused heritage with a myriad of MSO touches including Super-Lightweight Carbon Fiber Racing Seats – taken straight from the McLaren Senna – featuring a McLaren Orange contrast stitch to mirror the exterior striping; a Carbon Fiber Interior Upgrade Pack including central tunnel and door insert panels; and the harness bar and 6-point harnesses from the MSO Clubsport Pro Pack.

The interior’s character is further transformed by the presence of the visual carbon fiber roof scoop cover incorporated into the headliner and the twin visual carbon fiber intake hoses for the scoop that are seamlessly integrated into the 600LT’s cabin design.

Adding a touch of extra luxury is the upgraded 12-speaker Bowers & Wilkins Audio System for enjoying those drives to the track, while beautiful detail touches that complete the picture include Bespoke Embroidery in the headrests, the discrete etching of ‘600LT’ on the throttle pedal and a Bespoke set of hand-painted keys that unlock the passport to 600LT adventures.

Reveal: The McLaren 720S Pacific Theme

The 720S Pacific Theme by MSO was commissioned by McLaren Glasgow and delves into the blue of the world’s largest and deepest ocean for its inspiration. It is painted in Cerulean Blue, as featured on today’s McLaren Formula 1 car, with its door intakes finished in a darker Estoril Blue. The paintwork is enhanced by another proven MSO capability, namely the tinting of carbon fiber components and Cobalt Blue-tinted carbon is used on the roof, front splitter, air intakes, mirror casings, rear diffuser, rear deck and rear bumper and engine cover.

The interior of the 720S Pacific Theme features standard seats with bespoke blue inserts and contrast stitching. The finishing touch is a discreet blue center band on the steering wheel. The personalization of both cars is completed by MSO dedication plaques in the cabin, reinforcing their status as bespoke commissions from McLaren Special Operations.

Reveal: The McLaren 720S Track Theme

The first 720S Track Theme has been commissioned by McLaren Manchester and is finished in Anniversary White – an MSO Bespoke exterior paint inspired by the championship-winning McLaren Formula 1 cars of the 80’s. The exterior is set-off by hand-painted detailing to bonnet, doors, rear quarter panels and airbrake in Carbon Black and McLaren’s Formula 1 color from 2017, Tarroco Orange. Detailing in the same orange hue on the outer rim of the wheels and a Speedy Kiwi representation on the mirrors complete the exterior enhancements.

All exterior and interior carbon fiber components have a satin finish, saving weight as well as reinforcing the authentic sporting intent. The cabin is trimmed in Jet Black Alcantara with McLaren Orange contrast stitching. A titanium harness bar – typically 50% lighter than a steel version – is installed and can be fitted with a six-point harness for track use.

MSO Creates Emerald Green Carbon Fiber McLaren Senna

The first North American designation of McLaren’s most extreme road car ever built, the McLaren Senna, has been delivered to customer Michael Fux in New York City. An entrepreneur, philanthropist and renowned car collector known for his eclectic taste, Mr. Fux’s Senna features an extensive list of bespoke content specified through McLaren Special Operations (MSO).

Perhaps most significant is the Full Visual Carbon Fiber Body, tinted in a custom emerald green color known as “Fux Green”. Comprising 67 parts, the full body set takes almost 1,000 hours to produce. Blue and red wheel center lock nuts and ball polished wheels complete the exterior, while the body color is carried through to the interior, with “Fux Green” Tinted Carbon in Gloss Finish complemented by a bright white leather fascia, seats, door uppers, and steering wheel, with green contrast stitching on the seats and steering wheel. The headliner remains in Carbon Black Alcantara, while the door struts and rear-view mirror are painted in green.
